Download and installation

Download the setup file and run it to install the application. If your system doesn’t know what to do with it, you’ll have to install a recent version of Microsoft Windows Installer.

Version history

When the GUI was completely redesigned, bugs were introduced. It’s also a work in progress, with additional functionality added from time to time. Hence, updates are quite frequent at times. Release history, in reverse order:

• March 15, 2006: an upgrade that fixed a font location bug, graphic updates and an API problem that caused an unhandled exception a startup (detected on a windows 2000 installation).
• March 10, 2006: the API along with a C++ sample.
• February 27, 2006: initial release. Two more versions followed the same week.

Application loads are controlled by the apps2load.txt file. In case there still is a problem with startup, try to rename that file.

Licensing

This software is free of charge until June 1^st 2006. By that time, it’s intended to have matured to a production quality level.

Licensing will be as a subscription, costing $250 per year. A five-year license is available at the price of four years (20%), ten years at the price of seven years (30%).

Licenses purchased within the trial period are considered members of the “early adopters club”. These are purchased and renewed with at 20% off the regular price. In addition, the first 100 licenses will get a “First Batch” gold pen.
